EDIBLE ARTISTRY AT BRAND & PROGRAM SCALE

A New York studio for sculpted cakes, custom cookies, and edible storytelling.

From a 500-piece launch event to a 10,000-piece retail run, Sugar Couture designs and produces edible work for brand activations, retail collaborations, and hospitality programs. A story in every bite — built to your brief.

MUSEUM RETAIL

THE STUDIO

Founded by a filmmaker turned pastry chef.

Penny Stankiewicz built Sugar Couture at the intersection of brand, story, and craft. A graduate of NYU Tisch and the Institute of Culinary Education, she brings a director's eye and a chef's discipline to every project — and she does this work for a reason: a great cake, like a great film, is a story you can taste.

She is a chef-instructor at ICE, an alumna of Goldman Sachs 10KSB Tory Burch Cohort, a recent executive board member of Les Dames d'Escoffier International, and the on-camera chef behind Epicurious's 4 Levels series and Food Network's Ridiculous Cakes.

FROM SUBSTACK

Sugar Coated

A pastry chef's case for baking by feel. Stories, technique, and the confidence to trust yourself — Penny's Substack, where the studio's voice goes longer-form.

WHERE WE STARTED

Legacy & Bespoke

Sugar Couture began with one-of-a-kind wedding and celebration cakes for clients throughout New York. We still take a small number of bespoke commissions each year including weddings, milestone celebrations, and private events.

For weddings, anniversaries and private celebrations.

Our bespoke practice is where Sugar Couture started, and where the studio's craft is most personal. We collaborate intuitively with each client to design a cake that holds their story, the way only a one-off centerpiece can.
